Virtual Reality concert experience at Yorketown

THE Southern Yorke Peninsula Community Telecentre, at Yorketown, became the first place in the state to host the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra’s ENCORE in Virtual Reality project last Thursday.

The project was conceived to provide a symphony orchestra experience for people unable to attend a live concert, and to allow older community members to combine virtual reality technology with music.

Those who attended the Yorketown sessions donned earphones and a headset to hear and see the music as if they were sitting in the middle of the orchestra.
