Phillip Dudley is Gynburra 2018’s butterfish king

POINT Pearce local Phillip Dudley is the 2018 butterfish king, having taken out the Clem Graham Senior Memorial Butterfish Competition.

The competition was again the main drawcard of Gynburra Festival, with 207 competitors vying for the coveted title during the Australia Day long weekend.

Phillip won the open men’s division with his whopping 89.5cm fish, and Farhl Wanganeen was the butterfish prince, winning the under-18 title with his 78cm catch.
