Sort and Save Shed celebrates 10 years

TEN years ago Yorketown Progress Association ramped up its paper recycling operations.

Construction of a purpose-built shed at Weaners Flat started in February 2008, and the Sort and Save Shed opened two weeks later.

“Lesley and Graham May started a small-scale operation collecting newspapers for progress back in 2002, and in that first year collected six-and-a-half tonnes,” shed coordinator John Franke said.
