SYP water pipeline construction begins

CONSUTRCTION of a 38.5-kilometre pipeline connecting Warooka and Point Turton to SA Water’s mains water supply network has commenced.

Already about 10km of the pipe is in the ground, with the pipeline to provide increased water security and improved water quality.

“Warooka and Point Turton’s water supply is currently sourced from a borefield, which our extensive modelling has indicated isn’t adequate for future demand,” SA Water’s general manager of asset operations and delivery Mark Gobbie Gobbie said.
