Police News... Fire at Minlaton burns 15 hectares

CFS crews from Minlaton, Curramulka, Port Vincent and Brentwood were alerted to a grass fire burning five kilometres north of Minlaton at 2.40pm on Friday, January 19.

Due to the 44-degree heat and strong north-westerly wind, further appliances responded from Stansbury, Port Victoria and Yorketown, along with the two Arthurton-based aircraft.

The blaze is being treated as unexplained.
