It is time for the holiday break in the Yorke Valley Basketball Association, and the final games of the year provided the goods.

Kadina’s A women earned their first win for the year, upsetting a shorthanded Moonta team. No Adele Keleher, Montana Briggs or Nicole Hooper made life tough for Moonta but it still would have been expecting to win. Jess Miller had a season-best 14 points for Kadina as it finished the year on a high note.

Arthurton pummelled Bute in the other game, emerging a 31-point victor. Bute had five players contribute four points each, highlighting the team’s lack of firepower on the night. Five of Arthurton’s six players exceeded four points in the shellacking.
