Local surfers mix it with nation’s best

Yorke Peninsula’s four state representative surfers wound up a week of competing at the Surf Dive ‘N’ Ski 2017 Australian Junior Surfing Titles in Culburra, New South Wales, on Saturday, December 2.

Digby Tooze, surfing in the under 16 Allstars for Yorketown Area School with Harry Green (Woodcroft College) and Ruka Taite (Southern Montessori School) reached the final.

The boys finished fourth with a score of 7.5.  Digby also came fourth in the first requalifying round of the under 16 boys’ event, scoring 9.4.
