What’s the racket?

There were some close and not-close games in the Northern Yorke Peninsula Tennis Association on Saturday.

The match between Wallaroo Red and Bute went down to the wire, Wallaroo defeating the 2016-17 premier 6 rubbers, 8 sets, 86 games to 6, 8, 69.

Twelve-year-old Angus Cock, of Bute, beat his grandmother Mary Harris’s record for youngest player to represent the club’s senior side when he stepped up to play. Mary played a senior game when she was 14.
