Rate capping campaign ramps up

LOCAL councils are urging the state Liberal Party to drop its rate capping policy and work with the Local Government Association.

SA Best’s Nick Xenophon, Australian Conservatives MLC Robert Brokenshire, Dignity Party MLC Kelly Vincent and Greens SA MLC Mark Parnell all confirmed their parties would oppose rate capping when speaking before the LGA’s 2017 annual general meeting this month.
