Harvest road safety reminder for ag equipment

SAFETY issues relating to the movement of agricultural equipment on roads are again a police focus as harvest continues.

Police recently received a report of a farm implement not displaying required warning devices, or being escorted by suitable pilot vehicles.

A subsequent investigation and further checks confirmed the 6.4-metre-wide header hadn’t been registered for road use for several years, with fines for the offences amounting to $1871.
