Gulf icon to set sail

WITH heavy hearts, members of the Copper Coast Historic Vessel Association have put the iconic vessel Mary-Ann Simms up for sale.

Chairperson Michael Nance said it was a tough decision, but members hope the new owner will uphold the historical significance of the vessel.

“Together with the family, the committee came to the conclusion the best future was to offer the vessel for sale, in anticipation someone with the time and enthusiasm as a private owner can put in the money and manpower needed to look after her,” Mr Nance said.
