Butterfly Home receives award

BARUNGA Village was recognised for its work in dementia care at the 2017 SA Community Achieve­ment Awards on Friday, November 17.

More than 450 people gathered at the Hilton Adelaide to see Barunga Village receive the Dementia Care Excellence Award for its Butterfly Home.

“There is a key belief feelings matter most; therefore, the focus is on the connecting with their emotions to enhance the quality of life for people living with dementia,” an awards spokesperson said.
