Gardens of Yorketown Day

KEEN locals opened their gardens to the public as part of this year’s Gardens of Yorketown Day organised by Chris and Wayne Haylock, from Yorketown Garden Nursery, on Sunday, October 22.

“More than 90 tickets were sold which enabled people to visit six private gardens around the town, the generous participants helping to raise funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service and Friends of Yorketown Hospital,” Mrs Haylock said.

“Visitors from throughout the peninsula enjoyed a variety of beautiful spring gardens, and have no doubt been inspired to try different plant species and creative designs in their own backyards.
