PORT Broughton’s James Rigby-Meth has been chosen to carry the Queen’s baton through Angaston as it makes its way to the Gold Coast for the 2018 Com­monwealth Games.

Thousands of people around the world have been nominated to carry the baton by their peers for contributions and achievements in their community.

The Kadina Memorial School teacher was nominated for his involvement with school and local sport during the past 30 years.
