Leah Harvey wins Retro Night opener

Kadina trainer Leah Harvey said winning the opening race on Retro Night, harness racing’s return to Wayville on Friday, October 27, was “pretty special.”

The Harvey-trained Chasing A Win, driven by Ken Rogers, won the Lonsdale Sand and Metal Pacers Handicap (2140m), the first race run at the Wayville track in more than 44 years.

“When Wayville closed (April 7, 1973) I was still going to school,” Harvey said.
