Sewing for children’s smiles in Ardrossan

ARDROSSAN Community Club was a hive of activity as 24 women worked on a special project on Saturday, October 14.

The women used their skills to iron, cut, assemble, sew and overlock special pillowcases for the Women’s and Children’s Hospital Newland Ward.

The event was organised by Julie Nixon, owner of The Patchy Affair and grandmother of Riley Nixon, who spent six months in hospital after contracting meningococcal B in May 2016.
