Open garden raises huge $60,000

HELEN and Dean Rodda have raised nearly $60,000 in the past decade for charity and community groups by opening their Kadina garden.

It began when they were asked to open the gates to Camelot Garden as a fundraiser for Kadina Bowling Club in 2007. Since then, the garden has grown from one section to five.

“We would mow on the weekend, get it looking really nice and think ‘it’s only us looking at it’ so we jumped at the chance to open it,” Mrs Rodda said.
