Locals part of Holden’s final dream cruise

SEVERAL Yorke Peninsula locals helped commemorate the end of production at Holden’s Elizabeth factory in a dream cruise on Sunday, October 15.

More than 1000 enthusiasts drove their cars around Elizabeth, led by the first and last Holden cars built in Australia — a 1948 48/215 and a 2017 VF Commodore.

The cars were cheered by 25,000 fans before parking at Elizabeth Oval for an afternoon of entertainment and time to reflect on almost seven decades of car manufacturing.
