Your View: Magnificent work

DURING the past few years, I have been fortunate to have been associated with members of the South Australian Ambulance Service, Copper Coast Division, in particular with the Moonta Station, but incorporating Wallaroo, Kadina and Moonta environs.

I wish to place in the public arena, the magnificent work these women and men volunteers provide to the Copper Coast community, both local and visitors.

Remember, they are first and foremost volunteers, giving both their time and work ethic for the benefit of all of us. Notwithstanding, they are rostered on a 12-hour call-out basis, more often than not more than once a week, plus months of ongoing training, both physical and educational.

While paying gratitude to all volunteers, it would be remiss of me not to acknowledge the intensive work by Greg Joseph, the Moonta station’s coordinator.

The YP community can be very proud of these wonderful volunteers.
