The display will be open 10am-4pm, Friday, November 9, and 9am-2pm, Saturday, November 10.
A feature of the display will be the magnificent raffle quilt designed by Michele Hill, entitled William and May Morris.
This quilt has been hand appliqued and assembled by members. Group member Julie Nixon, from A Patchy Affair at Ardrossan, donated the custom quilting.
Large and small quilts, and associated crafts, will be on display. Proceeds will benefit the group’s Quilt for Others projects; 64 quilts have been made so far this year, and recipients include Drug and Alcohol Services, Kadina; Second Chances, Adelaide, and Minda, Minlaton.
In addition to the quilts, visitors will be able to enjoy the Golden Pins trading table and refreshments, and A Patchy Affair will have a pop-up shop; admission to the display is $2. See Community Calendar advert this issue for details.
The club currently has 36 members who meet on the second Wednesday of each month in the Minlaton CWA building from 10.30am; new members most welcome.
