Minlaton’s Wood Shed Group a hive of activity

ONCE a fortnight would-be carpenters and volunteers involved with Yorke Peninsula Leisure Options, and the organisation’s MAGS group for over 65s, enjoy Wood Shed Group at Minlaton.

Proving age or ability are no barrier to being creative, group members range from 19 to 80 and include young people living with disabilities, as well as vision and hearing-impaired seniors.

“The aim is to teach our clients new skills and to build items which improve their lives, plus other wooden pieces to sell to raise money for the program including machinery up­grades,” a spokesperson said.
