CHLOE Lowes, of Edithburgh, stepped up to raise awareness about dementia within the local community last year.

The first job on her list was signing up for the Dementia Australia Memory Walk and Jog, the largest dementia fundraising event in the country.

Her aim was to raise $2000; she surpassed that, raising $3612.
