Fewer crashes since speed reduction

THE state government will complete a full evaluation of the 110km/h to 100km/h speed limit reduction later this year.

Member for Narungga Fraser Ellis called for the speed limits on Yorke and Copper Coast Highways, both of which are being upgraded, to return to 110km/h earlier this month.

More than 350 kilometres of Yorke Peninsula roads were reduced to 100km/h in December 2011 as part of the then-state Labor government’s Road Safety Strategy 2020 — Towards Zero Together.
