BUILD A BRIDGE

Solution promised for Crash Corner

THE state Liberal party has pledged $12.1million for an overpass at Crash Corner, just north of Port Wakefield, if it wins the election this March.

The party hopes the federal government will match funding for the overpass, which it claims will be safer and significantly reduce traffic jams during peak times.

The bridge will not bypass Port Wakefield. Instead, it will allow vehicles to travel over the Augusta highway and then merge back in closer to the township.

This will not fix the problem. The problem lies within Pt Wakefield itself, It bottle necks the traffic.
This will be a complete waste of money. The road needs to go around Pt Wakefield, or put in 2 lane traffic so that the traffic continuously flows.
